Some vintages see Gower all grown up and distinguished, and some vintages we find a true ingenu. Honest, pure, forthright and guileless in appearance, Gower 2017 is a study in preppy, youthful vigour wafting brashly past in Eau Sauvage. Bright and racy with a raspberry tang and the promise of good ageing that comes with fine structure and a plush exterior. As ever with Gower, we recommend decanting and even leaving a bottle open overnight to experiment with the development… assuming you have the self-restraint.
