Grenache is a truly cosmopolitan grape with a presence in all corners of a viticultural world, and – as luck would have it – some of the most beautiful examples can be found not so very far from our neck of the global woods. Dry-grown bush-vines just over the border in Blewitt Springs. Treated similarly to our Saignée with a very short time on skins, yielding a very pretty wine with a focus on finesse and elegance. White pepper and firm, Vega-cherry aromas and flavours over a dense, chalky palate. We don’t often stray this out of the Hills, but for this result, it was well worth the wander.
